Spec right from trailertiresandwheels.com web site.

So are these the rims for our Suites Ron? I ask because Goodyear replaced a tire and foo-bard my rim. They look like our but wanted to confirm the specs.

Just another data point, my '07 has 5/8 studs with taper lug nuts. The way they fit the hub I believe they may also be hub-centric. I know wheels are usually either one or the other but not both (hub-centric and use taper lug nuts).

My '05 had 7k axles with 8k brakes AND only 1/2" lug nuts, tapered; replaced the 16s with 17.5s, but kept the brakes. 17.5s had the 1/2 lug holes for tapered nuts. Eventually changed the axles to 8k/8k brakes/1/2" lugs and 4k spring packs. All this time I never gave a thought to the wheel capacity. Now it looks like I have 6005 tires w/6050 wheels.
And maybe, just maybe, I am confusing 9/16 with the 5/8.
Still learning...

I think everyone is confusing 9/16 with 5/8. PERSONALLY have never seen or heard of 5/8 tapered lug nuts.

If it's cosmetic use your spare and pocket the $$$ if they are buying you a new one. I am sure it's the correct wheel but to be sure give them a call. Would not want to owe you a beer for false info!

Our wheels are hi-spec wheels
Here is a chart from hi-spec:
Series 03 - HiSpec Wheel & Tire, Inc. - The Safety Wheel
Just thought I would pass this along.

The 6k HD wheel has a smaller bore so it fits tight to the hub.

I assume I'm included in your everyone statement since it's three posts after my post stating I have 5/8 tapered lug nuts (1 1/16 wrench size). I know you know more that everyone else here but I'll call you out on this one. I guess I have to prove it so here you go.
BTW, I've done more suspension work on a DRV than most (maybe all) owners. Springs, shackles, Center Point, broken spring bolt, Dexter EZ Flex, Morryde X brace, complete axle on the road, hubs, calipers and have aligned both axles. Finally had enough and had MORryde IS installed.

Can't argue with experience...just glad I haven't had any of that happen to me.
Been following this forum and 5thwheels long time, don't remember seeing this. Can't have been any fun.

Leo,
Thanks for posting all that--now it comes back to me. Read thru it all at the time, could not have done all that myself as you did.
It was important to me at the time with the '05 36TK3 that I used to have.
Joe

Why be an #@^& about it???
"I know you know more that everyone else here but I'll call you out on this one. I guess I have to prove it so here you go."
I said
"I think everyone is confusing 9/16 with 5/8. PERSONALLY have never seen or heard of 5/8 tapered lug nuts."
If my statement was offensive, sorry. I clearly stated what "I" have seen!!!
I do appreciate the pics and confirmation, like i said I had not seen tapered in 5/8. NOW I have, thank you!
I have ZERO problem confirming what I have to say on any subject, that's how we all learn the facts.

Wheel MAX LOAD stamped on back of wheel
Your MAX LOAD is stamped in the webbing on the back of the wheel. See the picture and RED arrow. Mine is stamped 6050.

Do not recommend Rickson Wheel
My 235 75R 17.5 Michelins are on the 5'ver and ready to go. However, my recent experience with Rickson Wheel is not one I would ever do again. They are having some kind of operational and cash flow issues and originally delayed my order about 6 weeks. I cancelled the order and got my tires from simpletire.com They had what I wanted and offered free shipping.
Our current HiSpec wheels are HD wheels and have a weight rating of 6050 lbs. --- so they will work fine with the new tires.
IMHO Rickson is not the go to place for tires and wheels.

Don,
Sorry that you weren't able to get the complete setup you wanted, but thank you for making me aware of the 6005 tires in the 235 size. I kept my Hi-Spec wheels and put Cooper RM 170 tires on--would have done Sailuns but couldn't find anyone nearby at the time to install them without a hassle.
Did you ever get any explanation from Rickson? Lots of people seem to swear by them, but also that they are $$$ to buy from.
Joe

When I got my Sailun's last year I didn't know the 235's would fit? Oh well, I'm within weight limits with the 215/75/17.5's.

Glenn,
The 17.5s in 215 are great tires to have on a trailer--the extra capacity of the 235 is just that more margin, nothing wrong with the 215s.

Sounds good Joe, I'm happy so far with these tires. Have one six month trip on them at 10K and they seem to ride very well.
