New Guy!

Hello everyone; just found this forum, so thought I would post our new toy/house. Still at dealer getting ready for us to pick up, we purchased a 2014 Mobile Suites Estate 39 RESB3. Wife and I have owned a Class A, Class C, a NuWa fifth wheel and now this rig. It has a lot of bells and whistles, so many hours of going over everything to store in our memory. We are still negotiating on a truck. Have had Fords, Chevy's and RAM's, so no brand preference. F 350, 3500HD or 3500 RAM!
Have only seen a few of these Estate's, so if anyone on here has one, please let us know about any issues we need to keep and eye on, etc.

Hope to learn a much on this forum and looking forward to meeting some of you in the near future!

Here is a photo I shot yesterday on the sale!

Thanks for the kind words Bob! Not sure why the photos are not right side up? Tried several ways to fix, but no cigar!
We actually full timed back in 2000 to '06 and then came off the road. We have missed the life style and when we did our Alaskan trip in '16 with our Class C, we got the fever again, so home is on the market and we are ready to hit the road again!

Welcome!

My choice is the RAM Cummins AISIN combo with 4.10's. I have 55K on my 15 DRW LongHorn with ZERO issues. I tow 33-35K combined and is rock solid with no overheating towing in all weather and grade conditions.

The Factory Rear air ride is AWESOME! Truck sets nice and low in alt ride mode and stays at that same level with 6K pin.

Thanks for the info; have been trying to negotiate a deal on a RAM, but the Aisin tranny is scarce in these parts for some reason. When I do find one, it doesn't have the fifth wheel prep package.
Again, no brand loyalty for me, as I have had them all and never had a problem with any, except fuel mileage!

Using an iPhone?

Open the picture in the phones photo editer, rotate and crop then save.

Good luck with the rig.

Which inverter option did you get, I see extra batteries?

Duane; taken with an Android. Photos were uploaded to my main frame in photos and with correct orientation, so not sure why when I downloaded them, they ended up crooked. There are extra batts, but not sure on size of invertor. However, I believe the sales rep mentioned a 2500, so not bad. Will be installing solar on this rig at a later date. I will still have the gen option if need be.

Thanks Dan; apparently it was an option color scheme called Vegas Nights!
I finally found some information on the Estate model. It came out in '14 as a model between the Suite and the Elite. This one is also a 4 slide, that was an option, but was listed as the 39RESB3. This is what threw me off while doing a search!

juicesqueezer,
I know it is a LOOONGGG way from FL, but you need to shop Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg, ID--when I was looking at new trucks, he had enough inventory in sight to handle 5 or 6 dealerships, and the pricing was the best I came across. Might be enough savings to pay for a plane ticket and fuel back....

I agree. I think they are the #1 dealer in the US.

Yes, a long............way! I did see a disclaimer at the bottom of his advertisements that these prices were only good in a few states.
Thanks for the tip!

Dave Smith Motors is a good place to shop window stickers--they are all listed for each truck in detail. If nothing else, good instruction in what to look for on a window sticker when shopping on a lot.
I did find them harder to read/understand than a Ford sticker, but that could have been that I am more familiar with the Ford system.
If shopping for a Ram, I would use them for a possible bargaining chip at another dealer. And I wasn't kidding about the number of trucks on the ground in that little town in northern Idaho--who'd of thunk it?

Welcome to the Drv family. We have had a 2007 Select Suite and a 2012 Mobile Suite. This forum is not as active as the Drv Owner's page on FB. Lots of info out there. My 2 cents, keep roof and slides caulked to avoid leaks, check your undercarriage often (shackles, springs, etc), also grease the zerts twice a year (recommended by Slade at Rolling Retreats). Hope you have many years of safe travels! Come to a regional or national rally, nice people and fun times

Don't let the prep stop you after making your deal tell them to add it and you will sign. Really is not a biggie to add.
