Ryan I guess we just love "curvy hips"

YEP, true Medium Duty engine and transmission wrapped in a 4500 with a 3500's badge.

Brought our MS home from Iowa all the way to Southern Alberta early this spring. Sold our 2014 Forest River 5th wheel and with the sale of our acreage we were able to finally afford a DRV. We absolutely love this coach and this will hopefully be our last!

Re-checking in since we've added a new tow vehicle to the stable. As shown in the signature, it's a 2016 Ram 3500 Longhorn crew cab long bed dually, 4x4 (my first ever) with the 385/900 Cummins, Aisin AS69RE 6 speed automatic, 4.10 axle ratio and is rated 39,000 GCWR, 14,000 GVWR, 9,750 RAWR and 30,050 trailer tow. Since this truck came with the Ram factory 5th wheel pucks, the hitch was changed out for a B&W Companion RVK3600 that drops right into the pucks.

Congratulations on your new Ram. These trucks do great towing DRVs.

Rusty, does your truck have the rear air assist? I know you've told me but I've forgotten.

Great looking combo.

Jim,

Nope. I bought this one off a dealer's lot, and it had everything I was looking for EXCEPT rear air assist. It's the first one I haven't ordered since 1996.

I think next time we would not get the dining hutch and table and go with a regular table like we had in our previous Elite. The dining hutch takes up a lot of room and we did not want the outside tv.
Jim
Did you get the truck from RV Haulers in Canada?

Our 2016 38RSSA

No real adventures. Getting ready to go to Mackinac Island. Great place -- this will be our second time there.
Best part of getting this 5th wheel is that the first thing that the DW said --- your truck doesn't match.
SO -- I had to order a 2017 F450.

I know what you mean. I had my DRV sprayed the color of the truck. I think it looks so much better having them match.

These HP/torque wars are so absurd. I'll bet you couldn't tell the difference between a 385/865 and 385/890 Cummins towing the same 5th wheel with the same axle ratio.

I know that you can feel the difference between 385/890 Cummins and a 500/1650 Cummins.
