Owner check in
Post a pic of your DRV and share some stories with your experience and advice.
I'll be posting mine in May 2015.

LOL, it that your chassis or just a shot of one on the line? Mine may look like that right now. I think I saw him when I was on my tour of the plant.

Nice, I really looked hard at getting a MDT or even a HDT. But the wife wanted something new and something that she would feel comfortable driving if she needed to.
And welcome to the new board. Glad to see that you crossed over.

There are some things that you can not do until you post 25 posts. I had some issues and talked with the admin about it. She was GREAT getting back to me and explaining it.

Have had our DRV for one year. Do not have any stories. Some advise on what we would change, but not much to change. Made a lot of changes when we ordered like Fiberglass roof, IS suspension, Full body clear coat, 2800 watt inverter, 3 ac's, 2 of which have heat pumps and both of these are in the living area, Very little carpet, Elite wood floor. I think next time we would not get the dining hutch and table and go with a regular table like we had in our previous Elite. The dining hutch takes up a lot of room and we did not want the outside tv.

WOWZA !!!!!!! That is a set up you have there.
I was on the fence about the fiberglass roof but they warranty it less. Plus I think there as more maintenance with the fiberglass roof.
I kept the hutch as why not have more storage.
I saw that some people were going with three A/Cs and just did not see the point. I mean these coaches are well insulated, why would you need 3 of them. Plus I would think that would really get you power input close to wanting to max the 50 amp service. I did everything else like you. Hope to see you on the road and welcome to the forum.

I understand the new part but the truck I picked up last year was a 2012 with 12,000 miles on it. For about $40,000 off a new one, I lived with a very slightly used truck....
This one is easy to drive with an Alison 4000 6 speed auto tranny. My wife is starting to get used to driving it while towing but she is still nervous about it. Then again, she didn't like driving the F350 either....
I would have bought a HDT but she didn't want a "big" truck and this one fits in the garage. I do hope to wind up with a nice HDT truck someday that will be custom ordered with a custom bed and smart car. Once you get used to these rigs, it's hard to go back to a dually.
I still have my F350 as a backup and to use hauling other loads around for the house and family but it just doesn't have the pull this rig does. 1650 ft-lbs of torque goes a long way pulling long grades.
