Question Tools - what do you carry?

For you full timers out there. What tools do you carry with you? Are you carrying them in the 5ver or in a tool box in the bed of the truck?

We do not full time now but a few years ago when we were I carried everything I could ever imagine needs. Full set of sockets from 1/4-3/4" drive, hammers crow bars seemed like 6 of every screw driver, hex keys torque drivers, battery powered drill, bottle jack, air compressor, tire kit, windshield repair kit, lots of assorted fittings for gas lines and water lines. electrical components, wire, splices tape both electrical, silicon based, Durabond tape, sealant including silicon, lap seal self leveling. Even carried spare water pump and landing gear motor. I just stopped short of carrying spare appliances! LOL

I'm wondering how many have the truck tool boxes in the front and the 5th wheel style box in the rear. Do you like this combo. Not trying to hijack your thread...kind of goes with it.
I currently have a roll back cover but thinking of going with the tool boxes. Be safer while traveling for sure.

If you have hydraulic jacks on your 5th wheel then I would say yes you could with caution to block axle once you got it up of course. I certainly would have but I didnt have hydraulic jacks on my 5ht wheel but do my motorhome now..

Maybe I am reading behind. If you are purchasing a Motor home then yes, they will lift the wheel off the ground and I will use them if I have to. I assumed by your picture you were referring specifically to a 5th wheel sorry

I have a boxes on the truck but use them to store spare oil, coolant, fuel and oil filters, tow straps, wheel chocks, emergency warning markers, fire extinguishers and the like.

All of the real "tools" are in the basement in bags (impacts, impact sockets in one, most used in another) with a couple of Blue Point "starter sets" in cases to round things off. I also keep pry bars, screwdrivers, pliers and hammers in another bag.

Electrical tools (meter, strippers, crimpers, tape, connectors and the like) are kept in a drawer inside the fiver.

That Snap On box setup, (and the tools inside), very likely funded the Snap On distributor's kids through college, their orthodontics, their first cars, and the down payment for their first homes!

I carry an SAE/Metric socket set from Harbor Freight, a Crescent wrench, a Leatherman knife, a Swiss Army Tinker knife, and a 10-in-one screwdriver from Ace Hardware.

I have many wood working tools that I plan on replacing with a large bag of Dewalt 20 v cordless power tools. Then l will also have my selection of SAE/metric wrenches, sockets, etc.
