When we had our fifth wheel I towed with a 2007 ram 3500 with diesel. Never a problem towing anywhere. 5th wheel was about 18k and we averaged about 11 mpg

Is it really true that Fiat is planning on putting Italian farm tractor motors in Rams next year?

Here is a pic of the RAM in tow mode. It will maintain that bed height up to rear axle rating. That is about 6K of pin. In the pic it looks low in the back but it's not. It will have about a 1% rake to the front when hooked up.

Here is a pic in normal mode. You can compare to Rynosback's truck above without rear air.

His truck will settle to"level" when hooked up. Not the best pic to compare. Will try to post a better one to compare to.

Ok here is a better one. This shows normal driving mode. This is part of why I like the RearAir because it sits near level when solo driving and not aZZ high.

Here's our Ram with our 5th wheel. This is our 3rd Ram dually that we've used to tow our 5th wheels. Our first was a 1996 3500 V-10/47RE. Next was a 2002 3500 ETH/DEE (Cummins HO/NV5600 6-speed manual). And now our 2011. All have given us excellent service - never been left on the side of the road!!

Rusty one good RAM/MS pic deserves another!

New 16 39TKSB3 sitting on the 15 RAM with a lot more pin weight than in above pic with old MS sitting on new RAM. Rear is sitting at same elevation with more load because the rear auto air ride is doing it's job. REALLY like the rear air! Great ride solo and loaded.

Thanks unfortunately with the front cap being farther forward on the new MS I can't use the rack.

Towing report!

I am very impressed with the Cummins/Aisin and 4:10 combo. With 32K going down the road the truck easily gets the load moving. Towed in a lot of mountain passes recently the temps all stayed cool. Never has the load felt unstable or unsafe! RAM really got it right with these new trucks. Loved the HO 11 but this truck is far beyond in many ways!

Here is a pic 5 miles into Vantage pass in WA State. Its a LONG 5% or so grade. 98 degrees outside and all temple very low.
