Here's my thought. Mine appears to be tight and secure. So what if as a preventative measure I add lets say an additional 4 to 6 screws on each corner. I would use a oval head stainless screw with a finish washer to add additional clamping force, probably a #10 1" long spaced in-between the existing screws.
So those that have experienced this failure do you think this would help?

What year is your DRV? There are two issues, little to no backing pretty much from the rail down and around. Also that the rear wall is floating. A couple people did it before I did and said that it stopped moving. I have about 800 miles on mine since I fixed it. No movement and the screws are still there and mice and tight.
Just watch it and if it rears it’s head you can always address it or address it as insurance.
