Slam door lock

Would like to make all my slam door latches "locks". Can you use the latch and just add the lock cylinder? If so where can you purchase the proper cylinder and have it keyed to the current system?

I am going to change out the cylinders from the CH751 that EVERYONE has to match the slam door locks I currently have. rvlocksandmore.com have the cylinders to match but did not see anything on the slam door latches.

What is the brand of latches below?

Thanks!

You may want to check out RV Designer. They manufacture a lot of the hardware used by manufacturers. Their web site is:

Recreational Vehicle Parts, Recreational Vehicle Accessories, Recreational Vehicle Hardware, Recreational Vehicle Drapes, Recreational Vehicle Curtains, Recreational Vehicle Curtain

Thanks but no luck there!

The symbol is all there is on the latches, I can't see a name.

Anyone else?

My paddle lock key says Global Link G300-series (coded G301 - G350). I Googled Global Link RV cargo door latches but a cursory look didn't show any that look like your photo.

I guess the symbol on the lock in your photo does look like a link.

Thanks Rusty, I came up with the same results. I can't find anything that looks like mine at all. I guess I could tear them apart and see what the cylinders look like.

Why not have a locksmith look at it? I would think they would have different cylinders.

I could just call DRV and tell them to send me 3 cylinders to match what keying I have but i figured it would be more fun to figure this out amongst us!

Reason I want to do this is the big door on the "Door" side has two latches and each have a keyed lock. The opposite side has tow latches with only one of them having a lock same with the generator door and outside TV door. So that's why I want 3 keyed cylinders so all slam door compartments have both latches keyed.

Ryan do you have one lock on one side and two locks on the other side on your big storage area?

Yes, I thought it was strange. I mean why not put lockable a latches on all of the handles? But I'm also a safety freak.

Only the wider door has two locking latches to prevent someone from opening one latch and prying it open easily with their hands. The other doors are not as wide and are harder to release and pry open with your hands. Someone with a big pry bar could pop them open locked or not but then again, locks are only there to keep the honest people out.....

Another source may be Eberhard. One of my CH keys is stamped with their info. My slam shuts are stamped Global Link and as another has said I don't see a lock on their site that matches your design.

Thanks for the tip on rvlocksandmore.com. DW and I have talked about changing the cylinders out to something a bit less common. And I didn't think the price was too bad either.

You are welcome. My order is ready for the CH751 replacement cylinders but I would like to order the slam cylinders at the same time.

I guess I will have to tear them apart!

Took them apart, the non lock are exactly the same as the Lock ones minus the cylinder. So I still did not see a brand name or model #.

Is there a part number on the Cylinder then? This way you could just order them and replace them.
