Slide Seals

I am finding that the slide seals on my new 2015 41rssb4 are lacking. The wind seems to pass by them as if they are not there. I have 1/2" foam pipe insulation
pressed between the wall and the slide. Works very well when staying in one place for a few months, but still a real pain to put in and remove.
Any ideas on seal upgrade ?

I have noticed that the hydraulic slides when out have no sealing between the walls and the slide. Taking a cue from my old Lifestyle where they use weather stripping between the wall and the slide, I went to Lowes and bought the same weather stripping. The kind used between a pickup camper and truck. Its about 1 1/4" wide, 3/16" thick and is self sticking. I opened the slide enough to work and attached the WS to the metal strip the holds the inner slide seal in place. This seals the space when the slide is open. Seems to work very well. Quieter too. I will still have to look at the electric slides in the bedroom since they seal differently.

You can upload pics to the forums here. Use the "Go Advanced" button, then on the bottom of that page is a button called "Manage Attachments". Use that to include pics in a post.

Just left Kansas RV Center, KS. There were some problems with the seals. Top corners needed reglued and they installed a piece of molding on the sides of the slide out (like all the new ones have) that flips the seal in the right direction.
All helps the seals to do their job better.

DRV gave me hand full of those black plastic pcs. I did not install them, I just take the end of a broom handle under the seal and straighten them out when setting up.

They offered to give me those also, but I declined. I take a ladder out to make sure that the seals are all the way out. I also wipe down the nose of the rig removing the bugs at the sometime when setting up. I also carry a 6 foot 3/8s pvc tube that I use sometimes. As I always have a couple of slides that need adjusting when I bring my slides out.

Even tho I don't have a manual awning, my '15 came with the rod that is used to flip the lock lever on a manual awning. I have used this type rod to set the seals correctly when setting up, if they don't come all the way out against the slide. Worked for years on the old '05 also.

I can see how manual manipulation would be ok for the outer seal, but I see that some slides have one and sometimes two seals behind the outer one.
The DRV solution also wont work on the top of the slide.
