So where are you?

I'm curious, all you fulltimers...now that January is just days away...where are you spending the winter and why? The boss and I are trying to plan our travels when we retire.
Thanks in advance for you comments.

We're in Lake Havasu, AZ for a few months. Apparently it's been a bit colder than normal, but it's still quite pleasant. Lots to do for those into the outdoors.

We are in Mesa AZ, it has been a fairly cool winter so far. But the park we are in is great and we are totally enjoying it.

By the way I've walked around the park here in Mesa AZ and have seen 8 other DRV's just in our park. So sure can imagine that are are a lot more through out the greater Phoenix area.

We are at De Anza RV Park in Amado, AZ. Go to Tucson, head south on I-19 about 30 miles. Smaller, quiet park. Love it. 6th season to come here. We head back east April 1st.

I guess we are the oddballs. We're "static" full-timers and have spent the last year and a half near Colorado Springs at Mountaindale Cabins and RV Resort. We will likely be there for yet another year and a half.

Last year's winter was great because I had never seen Colorado in Winter even though we had vacationed there ever since I was a wee lad.

Because of uncertainty of the winters, we bought a 2014 Ford Expedition in November of 2014 that had 4WD. Believe it or not, the first time of using the 4WD was when we were in Oklahoma City for a month looking after our youngest son after a surgery. That occasion was for driving on ice.

I just started fulltiming this year and I am in San Marcos,TX right now. Staying here a month and then thinking of heading to Corpus Christy, TX for a month. But you never know. If I like a place I will stay for longer. As I have no schedule and plenty of time.

Where did you leave your wife? "I"

We are in the PalmSprings, CA area. Plan to Boondock at Quartzite mid Jan for the BIG Tent RV Show. Probably head to RockyPoint, Mexico March/April for a couple weeks. Possible Tucson, AZ Feb for a couple weeks.

It's a fluid schedule!

Yeah Ryan, where is your wife? She answered the phone the other day when I called you!

Hope you're having a great time in warmville! We had a record snow fall here in the Milwaukee area yesterday, 12" of that lovely HEAVY wet stuff! Can't wait to get the RV rolling for FL in a couple of months!

Dan

At Pacific Beach State Park in Washington for 5 days for New Years celebration.

Then slowly meander south to meet 7 other rigs on February 8th for a 28 day Baja caravan to Cabo San Lucas.

It really doesn't get any better than this!

Internet is not great, but I have a hot spot on my phone since I'm working remotely, so not using the Tower Point connections. They have them but service depends on where you are located in the park. There are about 1200 units here - manufactured homes + RVs
