Surge guard
Hello all, I just bought a new to me a 2016 38 ps3.
Now that I’m doing a few mods, water filtration, Replace tires, remove old seam calking, etc, , I was wondering if the surge guard control panel mounted inside is connected to a hardwired surge guard and if so, where do I find it.
I do know that Drv didn’t include the modem with the WiFi ranger, so I was thinking that it may be the same for the surge guard. I definitely want to protect my electrical system.
Please advise, thank you

On the 16 models they used the Progressive Industry’s EMS. You should see a little display in your cabinet with all of your controls. It rolls showing your legs voltage and your current draw. Mine even states progressive Industries on it. If you see it, you have it. And back then the Wifi Ranger was just a roof mounted unit. I bought the Ranger Go AC also. Which is the inside unit. Congratulations on your new to you rig.

Sorry i'm trying to up load a photo but am having troubles. I have the Progressive industries but just don't see the EMS even behind the slide panels in the basement.
The date code are 6/16, and i will replace them soon. They look good but just want to be sure.

Is 6/16 the date codes of your tires? If so, you can go longer on them. Why are you trying to locate the EMS control module?

What is the mileage on these tires?? 4 years should not be a factor in replacing.

If you have an EMS it will be installed near the ATS and Generator. Look in the Electric Bay.

Are the GY "H" tires? If so I would be happy to take them off your hands! 4 years is nothing if they are the GY's.

Just a reminder, our 2016 Mobile Suites was made in early 2015. That would be five years.

"Date code is 6/16. that's 4 months 4 years since we are counting"
Must do math different in Florida than rest of U.S. That explains the "hanging chad" problem.

OK, yes the tires are Goodyear, date code is 6/16 and there are 2 tires that have chunks of rubber missing from tread.
Cummins 12V98, you’re welcome to come take the tires.
I’d rather replace them now with one’s two years newer. They were take offs from a 2018 Mobile suite from a post off of Facebook. I just happen to sign up to the DRV Facebook page and there was a post stating they are taking them off his rig for J rated tires. I pick them up in Reno just recently. Peace of mind is invaluable.
Rynosback,, thank you for the help adding photos.
Porthole, Here’s one of the control panel. (I hope)
I would like to find the EMS module just so I know it’s there.
I have looked behind sliding access panel looking at duct with multiple rips in ducting. Fixed those.
I seen the brake control module, transfer switch, converter, but no EMS module.
I read the fourm and see there’s many things I can make better. Y’all have done modifications to your rig and make it more livable/easier to take care of.
Those without a mobile suites confuse me also.
