Freezer should absolutely be at or very close to 0 F. Even our absorption refrigerator runs the freezer at about -3 F.

As I understand it from my research on Samsungs when I replaced my RV fridge in the Lifestyle, the Samsung has two evaporators. One for the cooler, one for the freezer. My first thought was that perhaps the freezer evaporator has become restricted, has frozen over, or some problem with the fan not allowing proper air flow.

Looks like you eat healthy. Do you need to finish the cottage cheese before you can have a Stella beer?

"Which brings up another question I have...this is my first with res fridge. So far, I keep the coach plugged in at home and leave fridge on. After all..it is a residential fridge. I have a 27 year old fridge in the garage that survived a total house fire...still going. Do you guys do this or shut it down? It's nice to go out there some evenings with the wife and watch the news or play like we're a million miles from nowhere...for a few minutes."
It is nice to have a place where you can hide a few extra "Barley-Pops"!

When I was young and working on our hot rods.. had a Crosley propane fridge hidden way back in a corner of the garage...that we mounted a couple of "Pony Kegs" inside...
Good Times

Zero is the correct temperature for the freezer. With that said the freon is within a sealed system. if it leaks you are probably in need of a new refrigerator. '
Start checking the basics.
Are the condenser coils dirty and in need of cleaning? This is a very common problem with any domestic refrigerator.
Is the fan that blows over the condensing coils operating. Usually, you can hear it running at the bottom front. You can remove that small grill at the bottom front and usually see the coils also if they are filthy with dust.
Is the fan in the freezer compartment blowing??
are the evaporator coils frozen over? Another common problem. Usually located behind the rear of the freezer compartment if its a side by side. If you see ice on the freezer compartment where the coils are located its probably frozen over.
finally, it can be a thermostat problem.
All can be figured out by searching each problem individually on the internet.

He has a residential compressor fridge, so being perfectly level isn't needed.

It's NEW, under warranty, so call Samsung for help & repair. I would not under any circumstances take it back to your dealer to wait 6 months for them to call Samsung.
Apparently there are no qualified fridge repair guys on here, just guys that like Stella beer, cottage cheese & lest not forget prunes.

We have the same issue with our 1-1/2 year old Whirlpool home refridge. 28 degrees is as low as the freezer goes. Had to replace it. Expecting new one tomorrow.
Repairman said system is sealed and no way to recharge the freon.

I just thought of something...
Did Samsung contract out this job to Lucas???
After all: it's been said that the British don't drive much at night due to him...
And the rumor is, that they like the beer warm; because he also builds refrigerators!!

Sorry! I have a Samsung french door here at the house. I might be able to help. Your controls should be on the freezer door. The freezer has a quick cold setting that you have to hold for 3 seconds. Have you tried that?
Can you take a photo of display and post it?
