I've been using these for 4 years fulltime. There have been a few that leaked, but in general they have been fine.

The idea is so you can make connections quickly with no leaks. Better flow, is up to the smallest size pipe/hose. As that is what factors the volume not the pressure.

I expect that the filter and water softener are more restrictive. We fulltime and don't notice a water flow problem.

I've used these same quick connects for 3-4 years with 2 water filters, a water softener & have a regulator on at all times & haven't noticed any less flow. Some parks have very low pressure while others have extremely high so I use my regulator at every hook up.

I found these on Clearence and thought that I would give them a try. Seems like some have had good luck with the plastic ones. https://www.menards.com/main/plumbin...8558485&ipos=9

Yea, I know. My point was I don't need any quick connects with this setup.

Well I received my plastic quick connects today from Menards. 2 males and 1 female come in a pack. And only $.88 a pack.

My "on Clearance" brass quick connects are still working great after two and a half years Ryan. Good luck with those Menards connectors. I'll be interested to know how they work out for you.

I’m using these cam locks from Tractor Supply.
Strong and do not leak.
They are in the irrigation aisle.

And both parts come in both genders, so mix and matching is easy.

They look a little more heavy duty then the ones I bought. So you just push the male in and the move the locking lever?

They do seem a little bit like "overkill"...
Which is okay!
It's better to be "over-tough" for the job: than it is to be "under-tough"!

Yes, two levers. They work the same as larger cam locks and do not leak.
But, they don’t swivel like the brass (or brass colored aluminum junk).

So if you need a swivel for a nozzle ......

I keep 4 hoses in the trailer, short for the water softener, 10’ 25’ & 50’
The cam locks work great for joining hoses and softener hookup as needed.

Compared to just using the twist on connector.

Here is a tractor suppply link.

Cleanout connections

This configuration works best for me. You may have to rotate the picture for best view.
