Hi i’m having troubles with my pin box hitting my bed cover rails. Has anybody did a modification to make it work and have any pictures did you cut the pin box on the back corners?
Thanks

How much bedrail clearance do you have? Year, make, model truck and rig. Do you have riders on the rig? What hitch are you using? What pin box are you using? What bed cover system are you using? I have read where some guys have cut the folded edge of the pin box. I think someone posted this problem up not to long ago on DRV owners FB page.

I cut the back corners off of my pin box. I think Keith (Hunter11) did the same thing.

Truck 2020 F350 dually
Trailer 2016 DRV 36RSSB3
Trailer saver TS3 air hitch
Bed cover Bakfilp Revolver X4
MoRryde pin box

Just got rid of my 2012 Chevy just picked up a 2020 F350 Dually two weeks ago been spending time putting a 50 gallon fuel tank toolbox combo mudflaps backflip revolver x4 cover and my TS3 air hitch in the back. Hooked up yesterday I knew it would be a problem with the bed rails when I turn the pin box hits the rails I was thinking about cutting the back angle metal on the back a pin box cut it up about 2 inches and I think I it will clear? At looking at it I do not think 2 inches will have any affect on the trailer framework. The new Ford F350 was drop 2 inches from the factory and hooking up with it the trailer might be nose low truck squatted 4 inches I might have to put airbags?
Thanks

here's a couple pics. It's a little dark and hard to see, but I hope it helps.

Is your pin box mounted as high as it can be? If not move it up.

Yes it is mounted all the way up thinking about dropping it one and see what happens. The rail hits the metal angle piece coming down 1 Inch From bottom On the back side of pin box.

If It's up all the way I would think it will hit rails more if you lower the box.

I might go back to the trailer sometime this week in storage and do some experimenting and trying different things and see what happens. I’ll let you know my results
Thanks

You can cut the corners off the outer plates. depending on your tool availability, might be easier to remove the plates then cut them.

Check the umbilical J-box. With side rails and a bed cover that can hit as well. Easy enough to mount it as high as possible on the pin box.

Even with moving the J-box and cutting the corners you can still hit bed cover rails on off camber tight turns, especially backing, turning uphill or uneven ground.
