Arrow Yearly AC maintenance

How to service your roof AC units. Your schedule may be different depending on your environment and air quality. I would at least clean the condensers, fan motor and compressor once a year.
1. Remove the 4 screws (philips head) that hold on the top housing. Two in the front and one on each side toward the rear. Remove your housing.
2. Take air (leaf blower or compressed air, not too high, maybe about 40-50psi) and blow everything freeing it of loose debris and topical dirt. Make sure that you blow the condenser in both directions.
3. Take your can of coil cleaner and spray both sides of the condenser. Make sure not to spray wires. Let it sit and desolve the dirt and grim for 15-20 minutes. Then take your hose and set it on fan and hose the condenser on both sides thoroughly.
4. I make sure to wipe down the fan motor and compressor. I believe in doing this they run a little cooler, as dirt and grime build-up acts as an insulator and the component will not cool as intended. This could make the components overwork and cause premature failure.
5. Place cover back on and secure the 4 screws that keep it on.

Doing this will help your equipment last longer, run more efficiently and keep you cooler. Also do not forget to change your intake filters every 30-60 days. I will post up an advanced cleaning that you will want to do every couple of years.
Thanks and keep cool. #yearlyroofacmaintinace
