Hello from Tom NB2A amateur radio call sign

Hello still looking for an RV smaller in size and thought this would be a great place to learn. Also a ham radio operator and wonder how many other hams are in here.

Thanks for letting me in

Welcome, good luck with your search.

What kind of criteria are you using to find the perfect RV?

Look at the THOR Siesta 24 SS. It is built on a Mercedes Benz Chassis Diesel and sleeps 4-5. Small in size (27 foot) with 2 slide outs that add to the interior room. It is easy to drive and gets great fuel economy. Add the Summit package and you get a 100 watt solar panel complete system in the package. Add the diesel generator package to run off you fuel tank. I love my unit (2018 model).

Can't help you on the RV but I take my buddi pole and CrankIR antennas with me on our Motorhome. I use a Yaesu FT-991 and occasionally an Icom 7300 on the motorhome.

I’m a ham too, I have an Eagle 1 antenna
on my ladder of our new ACE 27.2.
Mostly I like it better as it’s smaller and lighter than my old beached whale.

Hi, Tom,

Welcome to this great forum. Quite a while back I started a thread called "Ham" Radio Operators. I think a search will bring it up and you will see the many hams who are on this forum.

I am Bud KB9ZR. We have a 2018 Thor Hurricane 35M. We are new to RVing and would like suggestions on where to mount a 2M/440 antenna and run the coax. I would like to have the transceiver up in the cab. Also suggestion on type of antenna (thru the glass, ladder mounted or put hole thru body of RV). HF will be done while at RV sites. Thanks.

Oldsalt, welcome to the forum. I hope one of the folks who have installed an antenna on their RV will come through with some suggestions.

It's been an awful long time, and I do not hobby it any more, but I do remember my issued call sign:
KBOH5060
So long now, not even in a data search!
LOL
