Auxiliary batteries

I just replaced my auxiliary batteries (2015 Four Winds C class). Right after I pulled the old ones out I realized I should have taken pictures and marked cables. DOH! If anyone has advice it would be appreciated.

So you had a pair of batteries?
There will be a pair of cables that link the batteries together: hot to hot, and ground to ground...
That should leave you with only a couple of cable left to figure out
Here's what I had under the steps: I hope that it help.

Bob that helps with the 2 loose cables but here's the big question. The 2 cables that aren't loose. Which one goes to hot and which one doesn't?

Trace them back. If they go to the chassis frame you know it's a ground connection. If they go to a fuse or breaker you know it's hot. If you can't see what it goes to you need to trace harder - guessing could be disastrous.

In the case of my RV: The hot lead comes off the left side of the left battery, and the ground hooks up to the right side of the right battery.
