2007 Chateau with Chevy V10

Hi Everybody! My partner and I have a 2007 Chateau Sport 28A. If only has 14,556 miles on it and we had to have the Tranny rebuilt. This in itself, is odd, for so few miles. This unit is in Brand New condition, Garage kept and wellmaintained. My question to y'all is how do I increase the power of the engine? It seems to be quit sluggish on even the smallest of hills, let alone mountains. Can changing out Spark Plugs add to the power? We are wanting to go out west but I really do not believe this unit can make it up those mountains. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

"2007 Chateau with Chevy V10"
Is it a Chevy Workhorse chassis - would have a V8...
Or a Ford chassis (F350/F450) with a V10...

I'm sure some will mention the Five Star Tuning... an after market product that can adjust performance - a bit pricey... Custom Dynomometer Chassis Tuning Products and Services - 5 Star Tuning

My experience is with the Ford chassis - can't comment much on the Chevy Workhorse - but I'm sure others will chime in.

If you change the plugs don't use anything but AC plugs, chevy's are funny about plugs. My stepfather put Champion plugs in his Chevy MH and couldn't figure out why it ran so poorly, changed to AC and it ran great.

As they say, almost anything can be achieved if your wallet is fat enough. If you really want to increase power, you'll have to do it the old fashioned way by improving the breathing of the engine. Banks company has complete exhaust headers and exhaust systems for the Chevrolet power train. Good luck.

No, but Chevy did have a monster 8.0L V8 at one point.

Looks like they still do, just not in the trucks:

Ok, so yes it is a Chevy Workhorse Chasis V8. Sorry about that. So changing the Spark plugs would help? Or perhaps it's simple time to trade it in.
