Hello and welcome. Are you here researching a purchase, looking for support for an RV you already own, or just for the hi jinx?

Good morning and hello on this chilly morning. Does "..and new to RVING as well)" mean you are looking for an RV or that you already have one and are joining the ranks? Regardless of where you are in the adventure - welcome!

We have decided on the Thor 29.1 or 29.3. My wife has retired and I am in the process of making my exit plans...so within the next year, we plan on looking for a very recently owned ACE. We saw one (and sat in it) at the Timonium, Md. RV show in February and both of us new immediately that this was the model for us.
So we're here to get involved in the community (so to speak) and immerse ourselves in the RV culture.
Thanks for the warm greeting everyone. Oh and we updated our profile so you know a little about us.

Psych RN, WOW, you must have the patience of an Angel! God Bless you for what you do! I was always told to never deal with anyone crazier than I am. LOL

Thanks airforceret, I have been through Indiana MANY times on the way to Sturgis, and usually stay there at the end of our first day from Maryland. The people I've met there have been awesome. It is definitely one of places to visit once we get on the road.

Welcome to the forum from Tampa FL. My wife is a retired nurse. She was a director of Nursing when she retired; however, she had a tour or two as a Psych nurse at Fairfax Hospital, Landstuhl Medical Center (Germany), a private facility in Leesburg VA, and the prison at Jessup MD.

My wife and I are both RN's, second career for both of us. I was an industrial engineer and wife was in management for large optical company setting up new stores across the US. I did a stint as a nurse in a Super Max prison, wow, worst of the worst! I worked 2 years as a critical care flight nurse on interstate and international flights, sometimes woke up and forgot what city I was in! Both of us spent most of our careers in critical care, now working for the VA and LOVE it!!!

Very cool...are you guys retired? 32 years in Psych nursing and wouldn't change a thing. We also do a fair amount of med-surg stuff (PICC lines, IV's, thub feedings, blah, blab, blah). Looking forward to transitioning to the next act soon...

I retire in 61 days, not that I'm counting, wife has a little longer. We have been nurses over 25 years, loved some years more than others! Lol. Spent the majority in ICU which has always been my first love, especially cardiac. Had to slow down a little as I got older, couldn't tug and pull on 300 lb patients any longer. Very much looking forward to retirement and catching up on projects on MY time schedule! Think I will miss patient care, had the pleasure of meeting a lot of wonderful people! Our best to you both!
