Yes I think that was the problem they were trying to fix..hopefully they resolved it!

Glad to see E-350 chassis. Shows Thor is keeping weight on 24.1 down after revisions.

Not sure what "larger rear access panel" means. The rear door in picture above looks pretty much the same size, and is much smaller than it could have been. That I find disappointing.

Yeah, will help on gas mileage...driver who brought it up from Elkhart said he got 12 mpg....I guess that's good!

HAPPY FOR YOU !! You are getting a lot of the upgrades which many of us have done to our previous models.
I am curious to know if Thor upgraded the much-maligned Seiko televisions.
We got a DISH and are not sure if we must upgrade TV's to accommodate new tenchology. We will find out this week when we begin tinkering with it !!

We are getting ours out of storage today !

Keep us posted !!

Wow, never seen that good mileage on ours--I bet its the new trans (as 11 is the best we've seen on our E-350 equipped 24.1).

12 MPG would indeed be great if repeatable.

E-350 in itself should only help if equipped with 4.10 gears. If equipped with 4.56 gears which are same as E-450 then it shouldn't make much difference. The E-350 chassis weighs a little less than E-450 but I can't imagine it's enough to make much difference during highway driving. Also keep in mind that during transport the vehicle is completely empty.

P.S. -- Decoding VIN shows 4.56 gears.

Still Seiki, can someone explain what is the problem with these TVs and why everyone wants to change them out?

They don't have QAM tuning. What this means is that you'll be camping, plug in the campground's cable and not be able to tune to a single cable channel (possibly). You'll have to see if the campground offers a "tuner box" (basically a QAM tuner) for their cable system (they may send you to the local cable office).

In most cases, the easiest solution is to simply replace the TV(s) with a better model.

So can you not buy a QAM tuner box without having to replace 3 TVs?

Croused, we have a 2016 24.1 and have not had a bit of trouble watching cable on the Seiki TV's...At least at the campgrounds we have been to.....Some don't offer cable, so we just use the antenna to pick up what we can.....As been said many times on here they won't work at Disney......

Sure you can buy a QAM box (Amazon) for your TVs if you want, but you may find there are other reasons to upgrade your TV to something a little higher quality (like an LG, Sharp, Sony, etc.).

Granted 3 X $50 is cheaper (or 1 X) than 3 X a full TV--you don't have to replace them all.

(We haven't replaced the two on our unit--no outside TV. This is because we usually don't watch TV when camping--other than the Playstation, or other computer based item plugged in.)

On that topic, how is it holding up in RV use?

I've had great luck with many Samsungs for home use, but never tried one in a bouncing RV. The latest one I purchased for my parents home is a 32" that only weighs around 8 pounds, and uses less than 50 watts of power. It has a great 1080 picture and was cheap to buy. When I first got it I thought it would be great in a camper.

By the way, I have no connection to Samsung other than owning 4 at my home and 3 at my parents'. The oldest is close to 10 years and haven't had any problems with any of them. I'm not promoting the brand, just don't know how they would handle shock and vibration on the road.

We have not replaced the Seiki's in our Axis...and had no difficulty with cable in the RV parks we stayed in last season....stayed in a couple with no cable..and the King Jack roof top antenna worked well. In addition, we always bring several movies, just in case we have no reception.

The only time we watch tv is early morning and late night...I am not sure why we think it is so important !!! Ha !

and then....This winter we bought a DISH for the Axis...have not hooked installed it ... do not know if we will need to upgrade TV's to use the DISH.

So there ya go !!

Go to MSHRV.com, they list all the upgrades under their descriptions of the coaches, this is for the 29M: New features for 2018 include updated décor, thicker solid surface counters, raised bathroom vanity, flush covered glass stove top, LED running & marker lights, pre-wired for solar charging, power driver seat and more.

You can see descriptions for all the different models on the MSHRV website. Hope this helps!
