Yes, "analoguy" refers to the fact that I am old enough that when I got my EE degree, there was no DIGITAL anything. It was all analog. And yes, I have a few phonographs, including some Edison machines. He was "analog", also!

Nice. Back in the late 70's early 80's I went back to school and got my degree in recording engineering at Golden West college in O.C. Socal, became the house sound man for the Hollywood Palace, Playboy Jazz Festival and many other shows for a company called McCune A/V. I've been around music most my life playing drums professionally at 10 and programming analog synths for S.I.R. and built recording studios into the 90's for the Jacksons and many others. I still have some of my classic synths. Love analog, but gotta admit I enjoy recording in my digital studio as well.
