Aria 3901 upgrades recommended?

We are awaiting delivery in October of an Aria 3901. It will be our first diesel motorhome after three gas coaches over the years.

Our last gas coach, a 36 footer, presented immediately with road wander, wind lean, etc. such that I upgraded the suspension after the first trip. The upgrades consisted of rear track bar, front and rear sway bars, safe-t-plus steering control, upgraded shock absorbers (Koni).

What has been your experience? Are these or any other upgrades recommended for the Aria?

Thanks in advance. Please post or email to cfaesq@gmail.com

Why not run it "As-is" for a little while? The list of what you need to change should be readily apparent.

Congratulations, and good luck with your new rig!

We purchased our 2017 Aria 3901 in March 2017. We traded in a 37.5' gas class A. The Aria drives like a dream compared to the gas Class A. No mods. Over 6000 miles of travel so far.

We have a '18 Aria 3401.

We added a Dirt Devil Vac under Kitchen sink w retractable hose. Love it, great for the hard floors.

We added small led motion night lights over the Firefly switches in Bedroom, bath and by ft door. They are not back lit and hard to read in the dark.

Ordered a "Mira" upgrade for the Firefly system, it will make all controls work bluetooth on phone/tablet. (60days out for delivery)

Plumbed Propane to curb side ft cabinet for BBQ

Added safe and magnetic lock to bedroom TV storage

Added Tire Minder Tire pressure monitor system

Looking to add Safe-t style steering stabilizer or similar for ft blow out protection

I work at a diesel component repair shop where we repair diesel injection pumps, injectors, and turbochargers. The one think that kept me from buying a diesel motorhome is the fact that they need to be run regularly. We couldn't do that so we stayed with gas. So that being said, run a good fuel additive like Stanadyne Performance Formula, try to buy fuel at busy truck stops, and change your filters often. And always carry extra fuel filters with you!

Called Firefly Integrations about a different issue , complained to them about backlighting and they told me about the new upgrade available soon.

Hi Guys, I picked up some clear self stick dots at Wal-Mart. I stuck them on each firefly control on the light you would most likely turn on. At night in the dark, I just feel for the control, find the bump (self stick dot) and press. It's a great work around for the non lighted problem.

Great idea on the bedroom TV, ours opens when on the road. We just got our 2019 3901 and we have had the typical issues that every new motor coach comes with. I want to ask if you can see a lot of day light under your slides? We have purchased a dozen large grey sponges and we fill the holes under the slides when we are parked. We previously owned two other coaches and never had this issue. It seems like an open door for mice and other living creatures. Cold air pours out of these openings. It does not seem like it should be this way. Any insights would be welcome.

MAy I ask where you placed the sponges? Inside, outside? We have the same issue.my rear tv launches the door up when we move. We are leaving it open now. Does anyone know a good fix?

I bought several of these to help keep things closed. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Style-Selec...-Catch/4329285 The TV hasn't opened since.

Thanks Mike.
I hope to get the firefly system to behave too. 7 trips back to the dealership in 4 months. Sad.

The sponges are outside under the large slide and the opposing slide. You can stick your hand under there and see where to place them easily. Then, go inside and the light is definitely decreased. I just have to insert these each time we set up and take them out before we break down. No other RVs seem to have such an issue. This is quite disappointing.

The rubber seals seem to be pretty tight on the bottom of my slides. I’ll take a closer look. After the flood I had to dry everything out under there. They seemed pretty tightly sealed. As much as can be expected anyway. Next month they are replacing the inverter, floor tiles, and may finally get the theater seats secured to the floor. The list goes on and on.
