Batteries

We have a 2017 Thor Gemini. It has a switch for battery in use or store. When the rv plugged into electricity, should the battery switch be in use or storage? Thanks for your help!!

If you're plugged in: set it to "Use"...

Oh! Welcome to the Forum!

Welcome aboard.

Just a little more info...it should always be in "use" unless you are storing it for a period of time. Your batteries only charge when placed in "use". So whether traveling down the highway, plugged in at a camp ground or running the generator, it must be in "use" to charge the batteries.

To be clear: When in storage and unplugged is when you use Store. Pretty much all other times in "use".

Thanks for the info. I wish the dealer had spent alittle more time explaining some of this stuff as we were new to rving. We've had the RV for a year and had to learn the expensive way about checking the batteries for water every month.
