Battery disconnect switches

I have a windsport 2007 my red light on my disconnect switches is on and lights work engine cranks green light will not come on so step doesn't come up when door is closed. what can cause this?

In my case, the step's electric motor's worm jammed into the plastic gear. I dissembled the drive motor and freed the worm. It worked fine for about a week then jammed again. A new motor solved the problem.
