Disneyworld / Epcot

Hi ... looking for recommendations on campgrounds around Disneyworld.

Heading there in mid-November. I am Canadian so have to add 40% to any price. So go easy on me, ha

Just looking for something clean, good with hopefully transportation to the parks so we do not have to drive. Doesn't have to be fancy.

Thanks for any help.
Cheers

The campground in the middle of the complex can't be beat. Fort Wilderness Resort. Pricey, but well inline with your planned trip. You can ride the boats from the campground to most of the parks.

Fort Wilderness campground is well worth the money. The internal busses bring you to outside trans. There are not many cleaner or more organized place out there.

Thanks ... ya I looked at that one. Very pricey for $C. But may just have to bite the bullet and do it. Appreciate it.

So is driving g from Canada to Florida. You only live once...bite the bullet...we make really good bullets down here in the South! You'll be impressed with the campground and no shuttling. Go Nike..."Just Do It".

I agree

In the grand scheme the cost is worth the experience and convenience

If they offer the dining plan it was worth it in the past also

Don't delay trying to get a Fort Wilderness reservation. It's almost impossible to get one in Nov. We tried months ago and wound up skipping Fort Wilderness and made a reservation in Disney's Port Orleans Resort.

There is a KOA campground in Kissimmee. They have a shuttle that takes campers to the Disney parks.

Throw another vote on the Fort Wilderness pile from me!
You will never find another campground like this one!

We went January 2021, the campground was almost as good as the Disney parks...highly recommend staying there.

Just don't refer to Mickie & Minnie as " he and she" or they'll throw you out.

Went to Ft Wilderness in 2020, Nice Campground, and ferry service to Disney main events. Not much going on in 2020, and much closed down. Jury is still out on a return.

And yes, took the boat ride alot...

My vote is for Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground. We have stayed there several times. It is a little pricey, but well worth it to stay on property and be in a beautiful RV resort.

Last year the wife and kids stayed there 27 days (DVC members).
Its a nice central location to other places like Tampa and etc.
We had a issue with the electric (the whole 500 loop) and they ended up refunding use a day and also put her and the kids in a cabin while the electrical repair was being done....
You can't match the service....

We stayed at the KOA in Kissimmee a couple of years ago. We did not take our toad so we just used Uber to to/from Disneyworld and Universal Studios. Great KOA and close to the parks.

Don't stay at Disney Wilderness Campground. It's priced beyond greedy and is not any better than some of the outlying campgrounds. Tow your car or take an Uber from the campground to the parks. Will save you $700-$1000 in a weeks saty.

There's a value for time and convenience. Transportation amd.parking outside will eat up the savings. Beautiful campground and no more driving for your entire stay.

When we stayed at the KOA and used Uber, our typical cost to the Parks was around $35.00 each way. We did not have to pay for parking since we used Uber for the pick up and drop off plus they knew their way around the traffic. We went to two Parks at Disneyworld and Universal Studios.

Stayed at Tropical Palms a couple of times. Large park. Both times we had grass back-ins along the back of the park. Close to all attractions. Old Town is next door. Will stay there again

The three I know of have been mentioned.
Tropic Palms is decent.
I'm not a huge fan of KOA, I find them over priced for what they are...but we have stayed at that one...it's ok.
If I'm spending that much I figure might as well head to the Fort. I've always felt that teh Fort is not quite what it "should be" for Disney...but it's the best "campground" we've ever been to... in terms of cleanliness, amenities, etc... We gone to the fort many times and not don't even go to the park typically
