Excited to be new Thor owner!
We are picking up our 2022 Challenger 36FA on Wednesday! We are new to Thor and this is our first Class A. We are super excited
We had a Prizm 24g (class C).
Any hints or pointers for a newbe to Class A would be appreciated

Welcome to the forum. We had a Challenger 37ND for 5 years. Pre plan your fuel stops. Challenger is not easy to maneuver in tight stations and that rear fuel fill sucks.

Why does the rear fuel fill sucks. Seems it would be a better location (either side of the pump)

You can’t use either side because the hose won’t reach from a passenger side pump. Some driver’s side pumps have short hoses and you have to be right against the pump island to reach the fuel fill. It will also cause the nozzle to rotate in the filler requiring you to stand there holding the nozzle so it won’t keep shutting down.

Nice rig. Good luck and happy travels. That said. I own a Class C so the only pointer I can give is to not get disheartened over some peoples comments, when it comes to forums of any kind, you will always get more negatives than positives.
Welcome to the forum also.

Enjoy the road! Don’t worry about the rear gas filler. Mine has same and works fine. You just have to know when to stop so that you’re positioned properly.

Congratulation. Rear fuel fill is not a problem just a learning process.
My first time to fill up I got out to fill up twice before I finally pulled forward far enough. Now I got it figured out buy watching my rear view mirror.
I also survey the pump islands and plan my exit and then wait for the pump that works best for me.

One trick I learned was when pulling into a gas station I try for the outside pump all the way in the left. To get there I drive around the far right side of the pumps, turn left driving past the building and aim for the pump. That way your RV is not positioned toward the building which makes for a very hard turn, especially if someone pulls into a parking spot in front of the building.
Being facing outward you also have much more room to pull forward.

Yes, Read all the info and view all the videos on the THOR owners page. Review how you setup the RV. Set brakes, set leveling jacks, then use the slideout.
The Class A jump from a Class C is a typical jump. you will love the 50 AMP service, Dual AC units. Leveling Jacks, Slide outs, big Bathroom and the extra room the Class A gives you.
The main thing is the seating and visibility you now get from the front row seats in the Class A are wonderful.

The one thing nice about the rear fill is you block everything for 40 feet or so. I just plan the fill ups so I don't block everyone unless it's the only thing to do
