Finally!!!

My wife and I have been avid campers for our 15 years of marriage but it's always been tent camping and as we get older we are looking to step up into the world of caravanning (sorry I'm from across the pond and that's what we call it). So we have decided to purchase a Thor Vegas/Axis 25.2. We are waiting for our local distributor to get the model/color we want in stock and then hopefully we will be able to finally purchase our first RV. I cant wait!!

I too have a 25.2. About 1 month old and 2 weekend trips. The 25.2 is perfect for me. Not too big and not too small. Has everything I need to travel comfortably for short or long trips. I also pull a 6x10 enclosed trailer with my motorcycle inside. I don't think I would full time in it though. Happy camping.

I'm new to these forums also, because we just went from travel trailer to a motor home. Perhaps, I've been here long enough to say, "Welcome to Thor forums".

Just in case you did not know, "Caravaning" has a different meaning in RVing here in Yank Land. It is when a (sometimes quite large) bunch of RVs all travel in a group. This is especially popular in the Airstream crowd.

Welcome to the Axis/Vegas family. We have put 6000 miles on our Axis since the end of May.
We LOVE our Axis and hope you take delivery on your new rv soon !

Finally!!!

Welcome. In case you were unaware, in Texas the plural to "ya'll" is "all ya'll". True.

Thanks to everyone for the very warm welcome.
I must say it will be an entirely new experience for me. I just recently drove my very first RV while we were looking at different models and I was surprised how well they all drove.
We live in Wichita Falls, Texas and figure our first outing will be to the Wichita Mountains National Refuge just across the Oklahoma border. Then I would like to do a drive down to Disney World. We have been Disney Vacation Club members for 7 years now and I remember taking a "sleigh" ride thru Disney's Fort Wilderness over Christmas and for those who ever never experienced it the Christmas decor the people with rv's put on is just incredible.

Again I can't say thanks enough for all the greetings!

I visited there in the 1970s. If it hasn't chanced, don't let the bison and long horns gore your new motorhome.
