Congratulations and welcome.

Well technically since a Freedom Elite is a Thor Class C motorhome it is covered by this forum:
Thor Motor Coach | Class A, Class B+ & Class C Motorhomes - Thor Forums

Note that you don't see forums for "Axis", "Hurricane", "Synergy", etc. coaches either.

"need suggestions for making the bed"

Unless someone is coming to visit, just leave the sheets down. It makes it easier when you go back to bed.

Welcome to the forum! You can do a search and find previous answers to each of your questions.
What do you consider bad gas mileage? If the air filter is OK, about all you can do to boost the mileage is slow down!
I haven't been in your model, but I think you have a folding bed, right? We use a bed topper and a thin comforter, which prevent the mattress from folding flat. I rigged up a bungee cord to keep it folded when on the road. We use standard queen sheets, which don't fit all that well but we tuck the excess under. Some have used their sewing skills to modify those sheets, and some have ordered sheets specially made for camper queens. Be thankful you didn't buy a rig with a corner bed!
I have a small 1100 wt inverter to run a computer charger, fan or a crock pot. I mounted it on the wall by the passenger seat and the cords run down into a compartment and then back to the coach batteries. I have no intention of running TVs or the refrig on it or running separate outlets.

Freedom Elite is manufactured specifically for Camping World and is common with Four Winds, Quantum, and Chateau. There were subtle differences in the options like color schemes and such but for the most part are the same.

Welcome aboard! I leave the bed making to the DW. I will relate what a coach salesman said to me 25 years or so ago. "If your worried about gas mileage this not the vehicle for you" or something to that effect. Seriously in our experience any MH that gets to double digits on the gas mileage is phenomenal.

Welcome! Gas mileage isn't a selling point for motor homes. Our RS26 runs in the 8.5-9mpg range most of the time. It will get to double digits coming downhill out of the mountains! That V10 is moving a big square box through the wind but it gets about the same mileage solo or towing our Jeep. Load really doesn't cause much change.

thanks

i appreciate the responses.
reference mileage, i downsized from a 36ft diesel pusher that got 10mpg. had no experience with gas and class c. i'm getting 8 mpg driving 60-62mph. just checking to see what was normal.
thanks for the bed issue suggestions. i like turning the sheets down, but the boss doesn't.

You may see a little improvement as the V10 breaks in. Nothing huge, 1/2 mpg or so. Also on ours if I go much faster than 60-62mph the mileage drops really fast.

Or Freedom Elite 30fe gets 8mpg no matter what you do. As for forum just find your corresponding Thor model and they are basically the same and most of the answers are the same. For example our 30fe is the exact same as the four winds 30d they have a few different options but just superficial stuff.
