First timer

We took our Class A Thor Palazzo for a test run before our trip and thank goodness I did! It seems the hole for the wate tube does not align with the sewer. I have several connections and adapters and could not get it to work. An hour later I gave up and connected it without going through the hole and had to leave the door open. There are more stories but i will wait to see if it’s me or has anyone experienced.
Thank you.

Welcome to the forum! There are many experienced folks on here that will be able to help/listen/answer/etc.

I'm still sorta a newbie to RVing, so I do alot of listening.

That seems to be a common problem across all lines. I cut bayonet connector off, rigged a POV elbow and union to reach down, replaced bayonet connector below compartment. Pain in the rear to connect

I had this problem also. I bought a larger deck plate and installed it for less than $20. It was easier and much quicker than having to deal with the dealer.

Is this the sewer hose connection that rotates to align with the hole in the bottom of the compartment?

Black first, then gray

Most of the Thor units seem to. I bought a clear bayonet twist on 45* coupler fitting that I keep in place. I just twist down to dump and back up afterward with the cap on. You can watch as the tank empties. Drain the black first but leave the valve open. Then open the gray valve for a few (5-10?) seconds and some of its water will back fill the black. Shut the gray, allow the black to drain again. Repeat for as long as you have time. If you're in a hurry, with a line of fellow dumpers waiting, just once will do. Close the black before finishing the gray to clean the "Y". It's pretty much a no fuss operation. DO take the time to rinse your hose, but the gray discharge has done most of that.
