Grandma with a new Thor Axis

I am a Grandma who has upgraded to a 2015 Thor Axis. Just wanting to say hello. I am having trouble with the main door staying open when I just want to use the screen door. Any suggestions? Thank you and happy camping. The snow has finally melted in Alberta!

Congratulations and welcome.

Does your door have the "shock absorber"/brace on the bottom? It is possible that was removed (since it would appear you picked up your Axis used). If it does, perhaps that needs to be replaced.

Is that normal way to lock door open? With awning retracted, how far does door open, and can it be locked in that position?

I'm now curious if 2018 is much different. Expect it could be.

We have no "lock" to keep the door open, just the "shock absorber" thingy (yeah technical term) on the bottom. On our unit its pretty strong and holds the door open, even in a stiff breeze.

(I know what you're talking about, though. Our pull-behinds all had some way to lock the door open. Nothing on the Axis though.)

The one mentioned by the OP is a 2015 though.

(Ask croused about his since he has a 2018)
