THOR #20005
Hello from North Carolina

Hello guys and gals. I'm Danny. Recently I bought a 96 Thor pinnacle. The family and I are totally new to RVs and with 5 kids, the youngest still being in diapers, we figured it would be a great starter to get our feet wet before buying one that possibly costs more then our house.
It was well taken care of but needs a few things. All the air bags are blown for the suspension however the rear are being replaced right now as I have time.
The thing I haven't been able to figure out is how to make the refrigerator work on propane though. As well as my wipers start moving and run irratically for a couple minutes when you first start it before they shut off. Im guessing theres a controller or something in it going bad.
I even have a few pics of the old girl.Attachment 25492Attachment 25495Attachment 25493Attachment 25494Attachment 25497Click image for larger version

So 2 months and some change in and I think we've worked out most of the problems.
Replaced the converter so the batteries charge.

Replaced both coach batteries with 2 235AH 6V batteries from batteries plus.

Replaced most of the battery cables with new as the old ones were looking pretty rough.

Replaced the engine battery today.

Added a battery monitor as well as an engine temp gauges because the original temp gauge didnt work and I didn't have time to guess what was wrong.

Also added a TPMS system. Attachment 26883

Still haven't figured out how to make the fridge work off propane though.

Thanks Bob.
I have to be in missouri for a wedding on halloween so I've been trying to get everything squared away and operational.

I got it all other then that fridge. I haven't looked to deep into it but the circuit board that runs the ignitor seems to be the culprit on most of the youtube videos I've seen.

I've made my recommended couple trips local to make sure it runs ok. Crazy how hard it is to find RV parking at the grocery store [emoji16]. And we've driveway camped in it at the house.

We've stocked a little food. Taken care of most things that could be an issue. And have our campsite in Missouri reserved already. The only thing we didnt get to was a backup camera although I still have time to see if the one off the van will work on it possibly.

Midnight mission to install a backup camera. Didn't turn out bad but man is that a tiny screen. It'll be getting changed out before the next trip.Click image for larger version

Hello from Louisiana!

Getting soaked from Hurricane Zeta so I'll be brief. Just signed up myself and I have a 1995 Thor Residency I am renovating urgently. Particularly in lieu of the current state of the real estate market...Click image for larger version

Thanks Paul and will do.
Still currently on our first trip.

I've found a few things that need attention but unfortunately I cant do anything about it until I get home.
We're still getting a clicking from the brakes when I dont have my foot on the pedal. Everythings installed correctly and tight and the brake isn't getting to hot so it doesnt cause too much concern yet.

I'm also loosing oil out of the dipstick tube. I'm hoping its something simple like the PCV valve stopped up so I guess I'm going to give that a check first. Im hoping its not something like a headgasket issue.

I've also learned that with 30°F temps the insulation in this thing sucks. I'm thinking maybe its time to remodel over the winter.

Unfortunately, the site we're at doesn't even allow oil changes so anything work wise is out unless its an emergency repair. However, if you're ever in mid missouri around jefferson city, the Mari Osa Delta RV sight is a nice place to call home for a few days.
