With Bob on this...Attitude becomes wisdom once you gain experience...which only comes with age. Check your frame rails and undercarriage nuts and bolts in a few weeks...remember us when you do. Rust Never Sleeps.

Here’s my experience at Pismo...

1) read the tide tables. The best time to take your rig on the sand is when the high tide is no more than 4’. That is, all of the “firm” beach roads are below the 5.5’ level. So as long as you can park/camp at 5’ or less...you are golden

2) before you head down to the sand: always, always, always...reduce your RV tire pressure to 20 pounds. There’s a Chevron gas station along Grand Ave with great RV access where you can refill your tires for free upon your departure (if you don’t have your own on-board air)

BTW...the local towing company will charge you $450 to pull an RV out of the soft sand

I'm not confusing the truly cautious one's who offered sound advice with the truly ignorant one's like those who sit on their wrinkled saggy asses and watch videos of people getting stuck in sand, then try to bully me into thinking it's not possible when they probably haven't even seen a beach in this century.

With that being said, thanks for the sound advice WoofWoof and TaylorBob. The rest of you nay sayers just keep chewing on your gums while I live life on the edge! LOL!!!

PS...coating the undercarriage with an anti corrosive agent before hitting the beach is what I've always done on my RV's and ATV's. Not much different than you cold state people with salt all over your roads in the winter months. Duh!
