Hello

Bought my new Sequence 20K on 9/30/21. First outing will be 10/5.



Living in West-central Illinois



If I have warranty maintenance issue - is it better if I log them online (https://www.thormotorcoach.com/customer-care/) or call the (877) 855-2867 number?

Depends on the problem. If it’s something you can fix, fix it. If it’s a component such as Lippert leveling system, contact the component manufacturer. If it’s a chassis issue, contact the chassis manufacturer. Structural issue such as leaks, contact Thor. Either phone or email works.

Definitely go the Thor website and create an owner sign in with your VIN. Some things specific to your coach can be found there.

Welcome to the forum.

Remember one thing, no warranty item is approved until it is verified and Thor approves the repair. Many folks have had issues where Thor says they never received the warranty repair request from the dealer.

Contacting Thor directly for warranty work will most likely get you an email, eventually, directing you to take it to your dealer for verification regardless of how many pictures you may have sent.
As stated if it's something you can fix you're better off doing so rather than have the coach sit at the dealer for months to fix a 15 minute issue.
If you can't do it yourself take to them, have them verify & submit to Thor, giving you a copy of what they submit, then schedule a time with the service department to bring it back once the parts & anything else needed for the repairs are on hand & give them a time limit to get it done.

You are close to the Thor Factory Service Center in Wakarusa, IN. I would deal directly with Thor on warranty issues.

Make a warranty punch list for anything you can't easily fix yourself and when it gets long enough, have Thor make you an appointment in Wakarusa. Their service is far better than any dealer will provide... and they have immediate access to parts if they are in stock. You will get a specific date and they start the work immediately; unlike most dealers where your coach can sit for days or weeks before they even look at it to order parts.

Fortunately I have had a small number of issues: I did e-mail and relied a reply in a couple days. They have been very helpful in getting things taken care of. I then connect them to the dealer for the repair. When I contacted the dealer first it was frustrating as dealers suck.
