Hello Everyone!

My wife & I purchased a 2014 Thor ACE 29.2 in August and we are planning a move cross country in the spring to the Pacific Northwest. We have a '06 Mini Cooper (6 speed) that we will tow as well. We have a dog & a cat that will make the journey with us.
We had a 1995 Tioga Class C years ago when we lived in CA but we have never towed before. We plan on all 4 down and are looking at Blue Ox for the goods. We have slowly been planning this trip and should be ready to go in May. Would like to take the most direct route (and flattest) from Virginia (Richmond) to Mendocino, CA and then head up the coast to Oregon.

Thoughts, suggestions, blessings.....feel free

Cheers!
Bill

We might even say that your ACE provides you with a "winning hand"

Welcome to the Forum. Nice looking rig.

As far as Routes go I would have to say I-80 is the most direct and I-70 to I-44 to I-40 the flattest with just a few miles further than I-80. Last time I was on I-40 there were a lot of construction areas but that also relates to miles and miles of new highway. Either way you will hit some mountains and some bad road. I think you have the rig to handle any of it. Have a safe trip, I'll be heading the other way about the same time.
