Hello from Michigan! We purchased a Windsport in Oct of 2017 and it has been in for service as much as it has been in the driveway I want to love my RV but they make it hard to do.

We bought ours in Oct of 2017 as well. Parked in Tn. right now on our 3rd trip. As Bob said, it will get better.

The whole "job thing" has us looking at the three-day weekends, for campsite visits. But we are doing a fair amount of "driveway camping" right now!

At the moment we are at the Philly South KOA. A rather nice one that only recently became a KOA--looks like they dumped a bunch of $ into it when it got KOA status.


I posted earlier about Mountaintop campground near Pittsburgh in the owner discussion topic.

We are on our annual weeklong camping trip.

Philly? Come on up about 175 miles North, and very slightly East...
You'll be in my back yard!
Look for Milford and Matamoras on the PA/NY border...
Cross into NY, and take Rte 42 North until you hit Grahamsville.
(It's just that easy...)

We'll be camping in Narvon, PA: over the Columbus Day weekend!

We purchased our Windsport in September. It has spent more time in the shop than out camping. Everytime we take it in the Techs damage something else. Not really Thor but our dealer seems to be the problem.

Sadly we head for home tomorrow. Just a quick stop to see some relatives at Arlington and then on to home.

It does get better we bought a 2016 Miramar first year about 3 month in and out of the shop takes awhile to shake it out.

My dealer is about 70 miles away so every trip is a pain only to find they didn't find or fix the problem I took it there for. There is one closer, I don't have a business relationship with them but I'll check it out.

We must have the same repair technicians, LOL. It is frustrating to come home from the repair shop only to find the same problem or new ones!

Thor will reimburse you for a mobile tech if you are under warranty, if you get it authorized, FIRST. After you get the estimate approved Thor will send you the parts requested by the estimate. I would never leave my coach at a dealer. Take the coach in to the repair facility and stay with it as techs trouble shoot. Get the estimate with a list of parts required and schedule the repairs and take the coach back home. The two days later call Thor Motor Coach and inquire if your dealer has ordered the parts and when they expect to be shipped. If Thor did not get the order, go to the dealer and let them explain why. Prepare for excuses but stand your ground. Yes it is a pain but most find it necessary.


I would choose my RV dealer with the care I would choose a heart surgeon. I made a 660 mile trip to buy my Hurricane. Except for collision repair, it has never been at a MH dealer.
