Hello from NEFL

Just picked up a 2022 Freedom Elite 30FE. We had a Keystone, Fuzion 371 5th wheel Toy-Hauler, but one trip to Sturgis 1800 miles away made me rethink the 5th wheel. I thought I needed a diesel, (a little more than I wanted to spend) to be able to tow over 5,000lbs. These Freedom Elites tow 8,000. Now I can take the Jeep with us. Also, why is my Thumbnail upside down but when you click on it it is right side up?

Welcome neighbor. We're just to your west in Lake City. Enjoying the cold snap?

Picture orientation is a convoluted, frustrating thing related to the metadata included in the picture which includes camera orientation information. Bottom line, PCs do a good job figuring out which way is up despite what the metatdata says, the forum, not so much. There is a thread by Ducksface that explains how to make pictures post upright:

Not too bad. I am originally from Hollywood, Fl so cold weather is my least favorite thing. My dad retired from the FPL yard over there and my youngest brother lives there. Him and I are both retired Navy.

The pic thing makes sense. It did come from the cell phone to my email upside down. Thought when I rotated and saved it would post correctly. Tried several times with no joy.

Can't wait to get out in the RV. First time with a MotorHome. 1st we have some house renovations to do and will be living in it, in the driveway for a few weeks. During which time I will be getting a 4 wheel down towing setup for the Rubicon. Any advice there?

Looks good now. Driveway camping is a great way to learn the RV and work out "bugs", decide on modifications.

I've got 2 toads but neither one is a Jeep. There is a ton of discussion here about towing a Jeep and different setups.

Welcome! Our last long trip with a 5th wheel convinced us that it was time for a motorhome. Good decision for us and the way we travel. Now we are spoiled and won't look back.

Be sure to check your weights and capabilities before you spend on the tow setup. An 8000 pound hitch doesn't mean you can tow that much and be safe,.

Welcome to the forum
We also have a 30FE and have enjoyed for over a year and a half now .
We have had very few issues with our coach , USB charge port not working , replaced them with upgraded units , all good . Bedroom slide got out of sync once , but after re-Syncing it , it's been good .
Get out and use the rig , and enjoy !!!!
