Hello from new rv owner

Hello,
I'm new to this forum and am a new owner of my first rv. I recently retired and look forward to many new camping adventures; we bought a 2018 Thor Chateau 29G. I am new to camping and my wife and I anxiously await our first outing. We are in Spring, TX just North of Houston and now gotta wait out Hurricane Harvey before taking a trip. I look forward to all the valuable information that I'll have access to here at this site.

Vic

Welcome! Like others say "driveway camp" a couple nights if you can. It helps to have the manuals out and just learn things hands on without the stress of being away from home. Hope the Harvey doesn't mess things up too bad!

That's really a good idea, I may try that. That's as close to camping as we can get for now.

Thanks SuperD, I think we are as ready as can be. We are North of Houston and will hopefully be ok.

At least you have a getaway vehicle and a generator if you need it. I've had to use the coach generator to keep the house fridge going when we've lost power before. Stay safe!
