Welcome to our playpen!

What did you buy, and what's going on with the repair work?
Good luck in getting everything fixed, and we look forward to your first "Report from the Road"...

My Hurricane

Hi Bob, I bought a 2018 Thor Hurricane 34P form a CW dealer in the panhandle of Florida on 2/16. I had to put it in the shop on 2/18 for non working A/C units and water heater. The A/C was fixed, but the wiring harness for the water heater was fried - a new unit!. The bed over the cockpit was not functioning, a cracked counter top, leveling jacks were malfunctioning. The selling CW dealer has been very non-responsive to us, our motorhome is in a CW dealer in Byron, GA, Seems to be reactive, but MH is still in shop since 2/18. We only had it 2 days when went in the shop for these warranty issues - disappointing and very frustrating. Anyway, we are hopeful that when we do get it back we will enjoy it.

Welcome to the forum. It doesn't seem at all unusual for a new coach to spend 2 to 4 months in the shop over the first year warranty. Much of that time is waiting for parts or waiting to get it into the repair bay. My last scheduled repair took 5 months for the appointment date and three weeks in the shop for two small repairs. Good Luck, I am sure you will enjoy it.

CW kept putting us off on all the work required on our new Windsport last year. It took a call to THOR customer service to finally get things moving. In fact, the THOR person told me to call her first with any issues. Also, remember that you are not tied to CW. THOR is really good about authorizing independent repair shops to do warranty work so if you know of a good one in your area, try them.

CW has a reputation, and for many of their locations, it's not good. Good suggestion to talk direct to Thor. Ask them for other dealers that can work on your rig. Call several to see who will get you in and promise to get the work done.

You have plenty of company with complaints about CW. Here's a video from a dealer about their sales tactics: https://vimeo.com/249621574
