Welcome aboard and congrats on your new rig. When will you be taking delivery?

Sometime late Nov is the target however could move over into Dec. or Jan. which is okay. I am retiring on Oct. 31 however will be having surgery in both eyes so will lay low during Nov. Giving the guys time to build in quality is fine. We will have the RV for a long time. We will be visiting the Redwood factory on Nov. 2 and hope to learn more about their quality.

We have been RV'ing for about 35 years and this will be our 4th RV (and the nicest!!).

Working close with Ford it was deermined that the 36RE could be towed by our new 2012 Ford Super Duty 6.7 L diesel with the four door crew cab, 6 ft.-8 in. bed and the sliding Reese Elite 18K hitch. Ford installed the hitch and the sliding metal truck bed cover and with all tanks empty.

Best regards,
Bob and Carol

You'll enjoy the factory tour. We went through a few weeks ago while visiting the area and was impressed with the quality of the Redwoods.
We've had our 36FL for 10 months and have towed in about 15000 miles through the states east of the Mississippi. We plan to travel the western states next year. Our tow vehicle is a 2012 ram 3500 DRW and it handles the rig just fine. Many of the other Redwood owners I know opted for for a dual rear wheel truck due to the pin weight. Mine is 3500 pounds.
If you've never had a diesel truck before you're going to love the power and exhaust brake. I love going down 6% grades nd not having to use my brakes...
Best of luck with the eye surgery and hopefully we'll see you out enjoying retirement.
While you're at the factory ask them about the annual rally.

Opps - my new Redwood is the 36RL and not the RE. Delivery is late Nov. or mid-Dec. We toured the Redwood factory on Nov. 2. Very impressed with quality of materials and the overall organization.

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on the new redwood. You probably don't have the exhaust brake unless you had it installed. I have a 09 F250 with the 6.4L diesel in it and love the power it has. May your new 5er bring you many happy camping trips.
