Thank you to everyone who shares their time and expertise on this website as your info proved invaluable to me as I decided which RV to buy.
I'm based in Manhattan but have permission to work remotely for a year or so starting April 1, 2022. I plan on spending half my time with family and then traveling the country the other half.
The idea of exploring national and state parks excites me, but so does the notion of venturing into cities big and small —the tiny size of my rig hopefully will make that pretty doable.
Since I'll still be working a 9–5 job on East Coast hours, and my work involves magazine layouts, I'll need to set up a proper desk with a monitor, keyboard and trackpad and ensure strong internet connection. I'll be scouring the forums for posts related to working from the road, and will ask a question if I can't find a previous response that answers my question.
Now that my van is purchased and I've finally arranged to have it shipped to my family in Virginia, my attention is turning to other musts like sewer and water hoses, surge protectors/EMS, security cameras, etc etc.
Lastly, I have a massive phobia of snakes, so I plan on getting under my Promaster and plugging any gaps between the outside and inside with steel wool. I apologize in advance for how many snake-related questions I'll probably have.
Thank you all again for your help both past and future! Very excited to join your community and to hit the road soon.
