Hi From NY

hi all

Thanks for welcome!! I just bought a 2016 Vegas 25.3 with 13,000 miles on it.

I am new to this and I will have a lot of questions. Thanks in advance for the help. I have been a member or various forums like this for Boston Whalers and motorcycles and I have found a wealth of knowledge in them.

I am looking for a reliable service resource in the Hudson Valley near West Point, NY. I will not got to Camping World in Kingston and I am wondering if there is a lists of trusted folks to go to? If so PLEASE let me know.

I am also looking for help and advice on replacing my house batteries that I believe are OEM and totally shot. While I am going to replace the batteries and certainly can do that myself, I am also thinking about installing a solar panel. I have looked at a lot of videos and read a lot of posts. I am looking at enough wattage to power the lights and other stuff but NOT The AC.

If anyone has added a solar system on the 2016 Vegas I would be interested in in hearing about the system that you installed.

Thanks again

Howard

Take a bunch of pictures of the cable configuration before you disconnect them.

Will do. Should I just ask for the service department or do you have a specific person that I should ask for?

I always take a lot of pics and color code any wires that I remove. Thanks for the reminder.

HW,
I should have prefaced my advice with this:
I have never been to the Port Jervis store. I dealt with the one up in Amsterdam.
But they have been SOOOO.... good; that I hope the one in PJ works as well for you.
And they have to be better than the CW Kingston dumpster fire...

Welcome to the forum.

If you go with lead acid batteries for the coach batteries again, I would suggest buying the Flow Rite 2 battery water system. You replace the cell caps with their caps and tubing which also has a quick connect to fill the batteries. No more need to remove each cap and fill each one separately. It also will not over flow. Great and easy way to keep those batteries topped off. It is available on Amazon. You will also need to buy the hand squeeze pump with the system. If you go with AGM batteries they are sealed and never need water but they cost more.

Paul
