Hi
I’m thinking of purchasing the 2015 Vegas 24.2 and I’m unsure of the air mattress verses a bed. How long does it take to inflate it and also to deflate it? Is it comfortable to use ?
Hi
Thanks for you’re responding! How long does it take to deflate and store it? Is it comfortable to sleep on?
Depends on how tired you are. I remember, many, many lessons ago...arriving at campsite...tossing tent on the ground and sleeping on top of it with sleeping bag (I can do this tomorrow in the daylight). Woke up in the middle of the night in pouring rain. Threw everything back in the car an went back home.

We use air mattresses in ours with a 2" memory foam topper. Very comfortable. If they get a leak, toss them out and go to WM for another one. The last ones bought a couple of years ago are still going strong. We also use them when the grand kids come visiting. Inflation and deflation is done with a small 120vac pump in a couple of min's. The 12v pumps eat up batteries to fast and are kinda slow.
Happy trails

[QUOTE=Sunday;175196]Hi
I’m thinking of purchasing the 2015 Vegas 24.2 and I’m retired and will be driving by myself with my 8 pound rat terrier Sunday. Do you think this would be a good fit for me and what are issues that I should be learning about this type, such as steering, wind issues on the road and please I need you’re experienced expertise. Any advice is appreciated. Also does anyone have experience with water leaks into the Vegas from windows. I really need any and all advice.
It’s very difficult to answer a question like this for someone else! But I think it could be a good choice for you if you like it. It’s new enough that it should be pretty trouble free (and old enough to have worked any bugs out). The running gear is all Ford and that should give you some comfort on reliability. You might check the carfax on it and see if you can learn anything about its history and why it’s for sale now. And, of course check out every system and seam to be sure there ate no leaks or defects. If there is evidence of water intrusion it might be good to pass on it. Most leaks are not difficult to find and fix but existing damage and mold can really be a problem. It’s small enough to be pretty easy to drive and park and certainly big enough for you and your pup. Main thing is do you LIKE it? One thing to note is that it might be built on a 2014 chassis which means the batteries and tires might be going on 5 years old. You might be needing to replace these items before too long. Good luck.
I really appreciate you’re advice and I certainly don’t take it for granted. I will check out the tires and stuff also. I feel as though you have been a good friend, Thanks
