Hi from Lawrenceville, Ga
Patrick my name. We just purchased a 2016 Thor Freedom Elite 22FE. We looked at others and bigger, but it's just the 2 of us and the dog. The wife is more comfortable driving this.
We just came back from our shake down trip. everything worked and I think the overall workmanship is very good. We did already come up with a list of upgrades for us.
1. tankless water heater
2. better Queen mattress (down the road)
3. Oxygenic Body Spa shower head (purchased on the way home)
4. maybe additional house batteries
the first on the list was from her yelling out of the bathroom that she ran out of hot water( 6 gallon tank). I got a nice laugh.
The great pyr (jack) thinks the passenger seat is his even though he can only get half of his body on it at one time. Just thought I would stop by and say Hi and this is our first RV/Motorhome and we are excited.
have a great day
P.S. Enota Campground is really nice off 180 in north Georgia between 129 and 75.

Congratulations Patrick! Glad you stopped by. Hope you enjoy your new RV and have many safe and enjoyable travels. Lots of knowledgeable folks here on the forum to help with questions you may have.
Sounds like Jack has made himself at home. Our Lab, Lucy, is ready to go anytime we are and has her place on a couple of crates and bedding between us up front.

thanks Larry
I do have questions. the owners manual was very generic, like you have an inverter, but it is in different locations on different models. When I ask camping world they say " it should be under passenger seat" when I say it isn't they respond " I don't know". just thought I shouldn't be to needy or greedy for information on my first post..in time..

Welcome, Patrick.
I hope you quickly get the tankless water heater. Nothing ruins a good trip more than an unhappy wife!
Safe travels

Welcome to the forum. This is the best place to get help, there is a bunch of smart talented people on here and it has helped me a lot. Our RV is similar to yours and we didn't think the 6 gal water heater would work but we have had no problems having enough water for showering. We do wet up, shut off, soap up then rinse and we have never ran out, now with that said we cant stand in it like at home and do the major soak. Have fun on your adventures.

thanks KNMIB, thanks for the hope. reprogram and retrain water use. HUMMM! should be in the forefront of everyone's mind...I am not sure she will grasp the concept of a navy shower. maybe it would be easier to set up only at places with 9+ bathhouse rating. but on a serious note we do plan on enjoying our new adventure's.
nope, easier to spend the money.

Yea my wife had a learning curve and she did adapt. The tank less heater does intrigue me. I have not talked to anyone to see if they work. I have for the house and have had mixed reviews.

Welcome to the group Patrick. Our Thor 30.1 came with the Denver Matress, not bad for a single spring mattress but needs a little more depth. I picked up a 2" thick memory foam topper for it and it is a lot more comfortable and doesnt interfere with bedside tables or stereo controls next to the bed. Something to checkout before you replace the mattress..

thanks Dwain
I was actually thinking a memory foam topper would make a big difference. I have to look into something that will fold over since the slide out in rear compresses into the cabin and I have a short queen.
