Hi from Michigan

Hi Everyone! I'm very new to the Forum. My wife and I have transitioned over the years like everyone else starting with tents to pop-ups to a pickup camper then on to boats and boat camping then 2 5th wheels and now its time to down size. We will be picking up a new 30.4 ACE next Tuesday. We are very excited to get on the rode. We will be making some short 2-3 day outings hoping to catch some of the beautiful Michigan fall color change and then early January we'll be heading south for 3 or so months in the sunshine state. Looking forward to meeting some other Thor owners and sharing all things travel related.
Can anyone suggest a good PDI list for a motorhome or offer any suggestions on specific items to look for during the delivery process.

Thanks Bill and Penny
and the Bucket List Inn 2018 30.4 ACE

Thanks JamieGeek! We live in the "thumb" of Michigan. Which part of the mitten do you live?

We're about 1/2 way between Detroit and Ann Arbor.

JamieGeek, Our daughter and Family live in Livonia. In fact next Saturday we’re planning on taking a road trip with the new motor home to Livonia for the grandsons hockey game.

We picked up our new ACE 30.4 yesterday and so far we are very happy. The PDI was uneventful other than a few detailing issues everything is as advertised.
Drove it home in wind rain and a little sunshine. It actually rode better than I expected. A little wondering and pushing around in the wind. It was manageable but I may check into some suspension upgrades in the future.

Have fun!

Welcome, Grand Rapids here. We've had great luck with out 35 windsport, so far.
A few loose connections , but nothing major, considering you're driving a house down the road, lol.
Thor isn't known for their quality control, but i must say, that I've had good luck getting a hold of them when I had a problem.
Good luck, and enjoy your new ride. Heading south in a couple weeks, be back in April some time.
Again, welcome.

Bucket List Inn, if you haven't picked it up, check your dashboard and see that all connections are done. I spent some time on my back plugging things in after delivery. I don't know if this was a factory problem or what (we bought a show unit). Also, I didn't realize that the electric component of the hot water heater ran to the washing machine/dryer circuit breakers until I called the service man (Duh)! The "Boss" and I are a little North of Indian River (I-75 exit 313) and winter near Flagler Beach (Atlantic side).

Take your IPhone or Android with you and record everything. Then make a recording on your computer. I got a big Hardback Notebook and put all the pamphlets there with a content page listing what page is what pamphlet, records of repairs and you learn lots more on this website. Guess you should also have a smaller notebook for where you keep all the shortcuts and sequences for what you want to do. Maybe another log for each RV campground and if it was OK.
