Welcome, to the site.

What RV do you have or are you doing pre-purchase research?

Welcome to the forum. Glad you checked in with us on your journey. People here are happy to help when you need it. Just ask it here and someone will have an answer. What RV do you own or are looking at now?

Paul

We have a 2020 Hurricane love it but think General RV who sold it loves it more since it’s always in for repairs. Does anyone else have the same problem ? This Thor approvals before repairs must change. We are up to 22 repairs, All no brains but can’t order parts until Thor Approves it. Frustrating.

If the repairs are something you feel comfortable doing yourself, you can call Thor and request the parts and they will ship them directly to you instead of the dealership. I had Thor send me several items while still under warranty. Saved me time from leaving it at the dealership for weeks at a time.

We kid a lot around here about repairs such as; when buying a Thor, you are buying a kit. But, eventually you get all the kinks worked out with the forum's help and you are a happy camper.

Did they send you the parts based on your diagnosis or word or did your dealer had to verify the fault?

Thor sent me the parts based on what I told them that I needed while still under warranty. They even once sent me the wrong part and when I called them back, they told me just to keep it in case I should need it in the future while they sent me the correct item needed.

My experience is Thor will send some but not all parts. Items that are electrical or electronic in nature they will want verification of a problem. Things like window screens, minor trim, hardware such as hinges they will send but annotate and you won't get it again.

On the Challenger it took them 4 attempts to send me the correct bulb seal that was missing from a slide and then they sent the correct seal twice.
