Introduce myself - OK

I am a relatively new owner of a Class C Thor MC Freedom Elite 22FE, Ford chassis. We purchased it in April, 2018. We have had a good learning curve for the most part. All of our ill experiences were the normal ones, like the first time using the furnace caused the CO2 alarms to go to town and ran us out of the RV, and many of the other ones. We tent camped for over 40 years. Loved that, immensly but the RV is way too super duper. Nice bed, private restroom, nice heat and AC, nice place to sit and a table, wonderful stove, microwave, and oven. Not to mention the ease in set up, take down, and boogie out of there. We seem to, on an average, go somewhere every 2.5 to 3.5 weeks and we typically stay no less than 4 nights and 5 days at each site unless it is a hop and skip destination. We really have fallen in love with the RV and all it offers. Great hikes, bicycle trails, kayaking, water, fishing,.......! We live in central Florida and are both newly retired. BYW - I do not miss that "w" word. So, that is my intro. It will be nice to speak with you and fill in the missing parts of RV life I have yet to discover.

Welcome from another central Florida resident... though still have that 'w' word here - back to it tomorrow...

Watch for the central Florida 'rally' posts if you would like to join in... Twice a year (April and October typically). Mr Sunshine should be posting details on the spring get together in near future.

Good morning gang:
So I am struggling with how to use this forum.
1. When I have a technical question: where do I post it?
2. How do I attach a photo and what format works?
3. Am I posting on the correct forum level for a Thor Class C MC?
Just questions. Thank you,
Off and running again this morning, as usual.
Michael

1. Well you can always post in the Thor Motor Coach | Class A, Class B+ & Class C Motorhomes - Thor Forums a question about your coach (if you're modding something then the Modifications and Updates - Thor Forums one might be more appropriate).
2. Go to advanced, scroll down and click on "Manage Attachments"--if you're using a browser on a PC.
3. Yes

Michael,
Only thing I would add to Jamie above is to try the Search Option (top of page, starts with User CP, Faq...6th option over is Search). Someone may have already had the problem and fixed it, came up with a modification ("mod") or there is an earlier discussion on the topic/question.

Thank you very much. Jamie offered some good advice too. I will try my hand at both.

Welcome to the forum!

Mrs S and I live a bit south of you in warm, sunny central Florida.

As gmc said, we'll be gathering our Thor rigs again this spring. Details soon, but save that first weekend of April. (Shhhh, that's still a secret!)

Belated welcome to you, and I know that ain't the "w" word you mean.
Been on the "r" word for 3 1/2 yrs now for me, and over year into the rv's.
Started with a tow behind toy hauler then up to a class c. Nice.
But I will still throw a tent, as I like to travel by mc still, and it can pull a small trailer with camp gear.

10scDust: cool idea. We are planning a short trip to Colt Creek SP in the next few weeks. We have never been there but hear it is new and nice. They have 2 primitive campsites on their trails. One is about a 2 mile backpack camping hike to the site. We are planning, weather permitting, to take this run. The area appears to be very remote, probably lots of wildlife, more adventure. Backpack camping, I always say, is a brutal, sweaty, dirty, and bloody sport. Love it! My cup of tea.

Class C purchase

I am in my 2nd motor home in the past 3 years. My current one is a 2018 Thor Siesta 24SS. This one is leaps and bounds above that of our earlier 2016 Winnebago ERA. Like anything new, go out several times to test run all of the systems and get used to how they work. I added a leveling system (Equalizer Leveling System). I also purchased a surge protector to protect the electrical systems while plugged in to shore power. Getting ready for a 4-6 week trip west coast to east coast trip and back in April.

Thumbs up

Welcome to the forum

R 3 years ago, but went back to w part time from April to November. Got a class c 23u four winds, no slides, no toads, and very confortable for the wife and I. We spend the winter in TN, MS and FL from Montreal Canada. We are presently in WPB since early December and we enjoyed our first time out with our RV.
