I'm new to the forum. We're a family of 3, considering a future purchase of class A or C RV. No previous RV experience. I'm researching different brands, features, floorplans etc, trying to get an idea of what would work best for us.
Buy a multimeter and learn how to use it (if you don't have that skill already).
Take a course on RV Systems.
Make friends with someone who has had a MH for years and has the above skills and knowledge.
Rent an RV or two to see how it fits
Once you've decided which model will fit your needs and have found the perfect deal, bring above friend with you when you go to pick it up. Have him video the entire PDI for your future reference and he can ask the right questions to insure everything is covered for you.
Do not plunk down the money or sign the paperwork until everything in the RV is demonstrated to be working to your satisfaction. There should be nothing on the dealer's "I owe you" sheet.
