Introduction

Hi,

My name is Vicki. I purchased a brand new Thor A.C.E. 27.2 in 2017. Unfortunately, we spent more time driving it back and forth to the dealership for warranty work than we did traveling in it. It seems that all of the bugs are finally taken care of, and now, all of this time later, we're ready to do some traveling.

I'm happy that I found this forum. It seems like a great place to get some help.

Looking forward to it.

Welcome to the forum. If you are travelling and would like some points of interest along your route, just ask. If you have any questions about your motor home, just ask and someone will have an answer.

Paul

Yes, it took a while. We'd no sooner get something taken care of, then there were more somethings. I guess I should have expected that, but it's my first RV, so when the salesman said just take it out and enjoy it - - things will happen. Hmmm ... Think we're good to go now.

I made the same mistake. Mine spent 10 out of the first 12 months I owned it at the dealer's shop for repairs. Learned my lesson. I'll never buy new again.

frequent repairs /choxnpinz

Buying used didn't help. My 1918 Vegas purchased with 20,000 miles had to almost be completely remanufactured before the bugs were smashed. I had a Tippen dealer tell me they used to sell Thor but finally had enough and broke ties with Thor. I didn't listen to him, wanted to spend less money but I didn't spend less down time for adjustments and repairs.

If it is a 1918, then I would expect you to have to have it completely remanufactured!

Motorhome bugs

so you think you got all the bugs worked out Thats like saying your car or house repairs are over. Now put your house on wheels.

Misery loves company. I thought it was just my Thor Tellaro. In the shop as I write this. Oh well. Still love it when we can. Took one awesome trip to Island Park, ID. Loved every minute of it and our machine worked great.

Sounds like us and our 2018 Windsport 29m. It took a while to get it all the bugs out, but now we absolutely LOVE IT and look forward to spending time in it. Make it your own with mods and up-grades!!!! Bob & Wendy
