John H. From Oxford Ms.

Good morning everyone we are new to the forum. We have had our little 2017 Thor Gemini 23tb for about 11 months now. I must say we have thoroughly enjoyed this little rv! It is easy to drive, easy to park, easy to setup AND most of all, easy on the fuel (16-18mpg) LOVE IT! Unfortunately, my wife has just had double by-pass surgery, whether to keep the unit or not is still up in the air. I know the wife is not going to feel like traveling anytime soon. Any advice on resale would be appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear that a health issue might be forcing your hand...

But as long as your Bride heals up completely: this should only be a temporary set of circumstances... Give her a chance to heal up, and see what she thinks.

Oh! Welcome aboard, and I hope that she's feeling better soon!

I couldn’t agree more. Once she heals up nicely she may be the one leading the charge to get to traveling. Give it some time you may be on the road sooner than you think.

I had quadruple by-pass 20 years ago and 5-1/2 weeks later I was back to work with no restrictions on a walking mail route. More energy than I had for years. This doesn't have to be a debilitating event. If it were me I would give her at least 3 months before making that decision. But then, its not me and I can only tell you my experience. Good luck to you wife with the surgery and welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the advice, hopefully I can get her past the fear of venturing away from home base again.

I had a family member who had 4 bypass at around age 60, and he did most everything he wanted to do for the next two decades.

You stated how much you enjoyed your Gemini, so don't make any hasty decisions and give her some time to heal. Our prayers for better days ahead!

Please let her know that we'll be keeping you both; in our kindest thoughts and prayers.
