Just bought Axis and new to Rving

Hello everyone, My name is Susan and I just bought an Axis mode 25.2. Got to drive it for the first time yesterday. Scare to death as I have never driven an RV before. Was a lot more confortable than I thought I would be. Planning on take short trips for a couple of years and then maybe doing workkamping after that.

Welcome and congrats on your new RV. I'm sure you will have many happy times with it. Stick around and if you have any questions, just ask as there are a lot of experienced folks here on the forum that can help. We were all new to RVing at one time.
Happy trails

Welcome to the forum and to Vegas/Axis ownership.
Here is a link to the Owners Manual I compiled for Vegas/Axis. It is designed to teach you all you need to know about your RV. It also has numerous checklists that you will find useful.

Congratulations on your new coach! After a couple of times behind the wheel you won't think anything about it. I hope you enjoy many safe and happy miles in your coach!!!

Welcome to the forum. We have a 2016 25.2 and have really enjoyed it with two long multi state trips and several shorter ones.

My #1 advice to new RV drivers is to learn to watch the mirrors. And don't worry about other traffic if you have to turn wider or go slower than someone else thinks you should. You'l be just fine!

Welcome to the forums. We have been on the road in our Axis since May.
200 miles will put us back in FL; about 100 miles on Friday and another 100 on Monday. We like to keep our drive to under 200 miles.

My #2 advice, as was mentioned elsewhere, is checklists. We use one for trip preparation, another for packing, and one for departure. After decades of RVing, we would still forget things if we didn't have lists to check against.

There are some great ones at this site:
https://rv-roadtrips.thefuntimesguid..._rv_checklist/

There are some phone aps with RV checklists, or any list could be put on a phone notepad ap.

Happy trails!
